BMW Shuttle Service

Ride to and from the RBC Canadian Open in comfort and style with the BMW Shuttle Service. A fleet of BMW 750’s and BMW X5’s will be on hand from July 21st – July 24th to transport guests between Sheridan College Public Lot and the main entrance of Glen Abbey.

Shuttles are first come, first serve and will begin 30 minutes before play and will conclude 30 minutes after play.

The Foundation’s mission is to provide golfers and industry partners with a charitable platform to increase participation in golf by engaging players of all ages and abilities across Canada

RBC Canadian Open 5K

Golf Canada in conjunction with Landmark Sport Group, Inc., have launched the inaugural RBC Canadian Open 5K. The five kilometre run or walk along the Glen Abbey Golf Club grounds will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 beginning at 9:00 am. Open to the general public including golf fans, runners, walkers and recreational enthusiasts of all ages, the RBC Canadian Open 5K will start near the first tee of the championship course, ultimately finishing alongside the iconic and picturesque 18th green. Participants will then be invited to watch the third-round coverage of The British Open Championship live on the big screens located along the race-route and within the Molson Canadian 67 19th Hole Beer Garden.

Hall of Fame Day at the RBC Canadian Open

Join us in celebrating Hall of Fame Day at the RBC Canadian Open. 50/50 Raffle – Golf Canada Foundation

On tournament days (Thursday through Sunday), the Golf Canada Foundation will be selling 50/50 tickets on-site at the RBC Canadian Open. Look for volunteers with Golf Canada Foundation caddie bibs (and the 50/50 name badge on the back)! The draw will take place Sunday evening, with the winning number announced online and across social media channels.

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit junior golf initiatives and help to grow the game in Ontario and across the nation.

Friday, July 22nd is Red & White Day at the RBC Canadian Open! Everyone is encouraged to wear red and white to show your Canadian pride and support for the Canadian players competing in our National Open. Canadian flags will be handed out at the main entrance while supplies last.

Opening Ceremony and Olympic Celebration

On Tuesday, join us at 11:00am in ZTE Spectator Village for Opening Ceremonies and an Olympic Celebration where the 2016 Canadian Olympic Golf Team will be officially welcomed by the Canadian Olympic Committee to Team Canada. Admission is free for all spectators on Tuesday, July 19th so be sure to come and celebrate golf’s return to the Olympics!

CN Future Links Walk with a Pro

Kids from Canada’s Junior Golf Program – CN Future Links – will get a chance to caddie for PGA TOUR professionals on the 7th hole during the RBC Championship Pro-Am. These young golfers will carry the professional’s putter or bag and might even take the pro’s first putt. Drop by to see these kids “Walk with a Pro” and gain memories to last a lifetime. CN Future Links is Canada’s national junior golf program conducted by Golf Canada, the Canadian PGA and Canada’s provincial golf associations.

CN Future Links Skills Challenge – National Event

Created in 2008, the Junior Skills Challenge is an exciting program focused on developing key golf skills of putting, chipping, iron play and driving. Administered by Golf Canada and run by PGA of Canada members at facilities across Canada, participants will compete in all four skills and will be scored based on their performance in each of these categories. The CN Future Links Junior Skills Challenge National Event is broken up into three separate age categories, 9 to 11, 12-14 and 15-18 year olds. On Saturday, July 16th, 24 young athletes from across Canada will participate in the CN Future Links Junior Skills Challenge National Event that will be taking place at Glen Abbey Golf Club prior to tournament week of the RBC Canadian Open.
